Inspiring Inclusion - International Women's Day 2024

As International Women’s Day approaches on 8th March 2024, the world once again turns its' focus to the celebration, furtherance and empowerment of women.

The theme for International Women’s Day for 2024 is “Inspire Inclusion”. To inspire inclusion means to celebrate diversity and empowerment on International Women's Day 2024 and beyond as defined by internationalwomensday.com.

Whilst there has been a definite shift in society towards the inclusion of women, we also need to acknowledge the areas we fall short and work towards the far reaching aim of the inclusion of women generally.

It is important that the inclusion of women in both the workplace and society is something we strive to achieve consistently and not just for one day. It is all too easy to celebrate International Women’s Day without taking action to actually change matters moving forward. There needs to be a continued effort to push forward to ensure that women are not left behind and that we are in the upper reaches of society both professionally and personally.

So how do we do this?

We collaborate.

We collaborate with others to push women forward.

We set goals and strive to achieve these.

We lean on our support networks and strive to be part of that support network for others.

Supporting one another to achieve, is how we reach equality.
